Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has made his name with menswear and his fragrance line. Armani began his career as a window dresser for a department store before designing menswear for the Nino Cerruti company before opening his first design office in Milan, Italy. With his first collections appearing in 1975, Armani’s work has been seen in many films. The brand expanded through the 1970s and 1980s with casual wear and accessories before entering the fragrance market in 1982.
Although Giorgio's first foray into perfumes was in 1981 with the release of Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills, the first Armani branded perfume was released in 1982. Simply called Armani, this chypre perfume for women (now discontinued) was to be the first of many successful perfumes to be released under the signature Giorgio Armani label. This was followed in 1984 by the release of the first Armani fragrance for men called Armani Eau Pour Homme.
Air Di Gioia Perfume by Giorgio Armani, Released in 2016, Air Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani is a fresh, dreamy and airy fragrance for women created byfamed perfumer Dominique Ropion. It opens with a beachy salt note enhanced by citrusy neroli, succulent mandarin orange, and spicy red pepper. These distinct top notes set the stage for a refreshing floral heart composed of peony and orange blossom sweetened by ylang-ylang. A sharp, warm and woody base of cypress, patchouli, oakmoss, cashmere wood, and musk completes this breezy composition.
