Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne: The Review

Posted by John Gillon on

The parent company of 4711 and Tosca, Muelhens, was the Wilhelm Muelhens design house. The company was dubbed 4711 after the address where Eau de Cologne, the founder's grandson, had began in Cologne until it was sold out and sold out a couple more times in the 1990s. 4711 was acquired by Maurer & Wirtz in 2006.

Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne, originally named Eau de Cologne when it was made, was the work of Johann Maria Farina until the transfer of the rights and licenses to the design house of Muelhens in 1792. The fragrance is described as a sophisticated fruity fragrance intended to refresh the senses rather than leave a thick, perfume-filled trail. Opening this fragrance, you can find the citrus top notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit combined with bergamote. A hint of floral middle notes of rose and rosemary softens the blend with strong base notes of sandalwood, musk, neroli and small grain.

Who Is This Product For

Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne is an aromatic lemon perfume for both men and women. 4711 is the very meaning of the scent of unisex. It was created long before there was a difference between male and female fragrances, and it was designed for everybody in mind. But if you're looking for a masculine smell, this is far from it.

Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne was founded in 1792. Wilhelm Muelhens is the nose behind the aroma. The top notes are orange oil, raspberry, basil, bergamot and lemon; the middle notes are cyclamen, lily, melon, jasmine and bulgar rose; the base notes are patchouli, tahitian vetiver, musk, sandalwood, oak and cedar. In general, the 4711 By Muelhens Eau De Cologne features a respectable sillage that leaves a fun trail behind the wearer. It's projection is very limited, though, so don't expect it to send out heavy odor waves. Last but not least, the lifespan of the fragrance is very limited and provides just a few hours of perfume at best

While first and foremost known as Eau De Cologne, 4711 belongs to the family of citrus fragrances. Specifically, because of its herbal mixture, it has an aromatic citrus fragrance. It does, however, bear all the hallmarks of traditional eau de cologne.

Eau De Cologne unlocks a new citrus blast instinctively familiar. Bergamote and lemon have filled the lungs with a subtle scent of new basil. Since it is relatively volatile, it cooks easily, but the citrus essence lasts for a while.

How To Use It

Shake a little perfume on your palm and rub your hands together easily. Rub on your jewelry and behind your ears for an invigorating pick-up. Breathe quietly as you do, so the smell comes out of your nose and into your mouth. As far as its seasonality is concerned, it is a distinctly spring scent with heavy blooming notes that perform well throughout these months.

But it's still nice to use during the summer when things get humid. Only a spray across the neck and the wearer will immediately feel revived. While it is passable during autumn, it is far from a winter scent, so that its use will decline during these months. In the same way, this is an overall daytime scent that will sound out of place throughout the night.

Giorgio Armani Armani Eau Pour Homme

Eau Pour Homme continues with a lush mossy lemon, which is the most striking contrast between the old and the current Eau Pour Homme; this moss is brighter and more shimmering at the opening of the "refreshed" Eau Pour Homme. If the scent grows, a beautiful dusting of warm nutmeg becomes evident, carrying with it a frosted, almost fragile, white floral note; the sheerest bit of sweet coriander blends with it.

Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne is the winner when it comes to the longevity fragrance. It is great in the art of seduction. You really love it anytime you go for a swim—only spray a few spritzes and go to the water. This Muelhens 4711 Eau de Cologne had to be the best choice for our favorite men's scent in 2016, because it's the top chart in its kind. There's a reason they call it the original. It was an original and special Muelhen 4711 Eau de Cologne.
