Gucci Rush Edt Spray
Posted by John Gillon on
Gucci Rush by Gucci is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women. Gucci Rush was launched in 1999. The nose behind this fragrance is Michel Almairac. Top notes are Peach, Californian Gardenia and African Freesia Petals; middle notes are Coriander, Damask Rose and Jasmine; base notes are Patchouli, Natural Vanilla and Vetiver.
This is Gucci's second fragrance for women. Gucci Rush is a very attractive and recognizable fragrance, impulsive and irresistible, just like love at first sight. The name of the fragrance "Rush" reminds of stimulative drug, very widespread in America during 1980s. The intensive red bottle has the shape of a video cassette tape, a very unusual and modern design. The fragrance is composed like a luscious exotic floral cocktail: Californian gardenia, South African freesia, jasmine and Turkish rose. Corriander, vanilla and patchouli emphasize the oriental character and uniqueness of this fragrance.

Features
It is sweet, impulsive and attractive and makes a great signature scent, reminding of the rush of first love. Gucci Rush features top notes of Freesia, California Gardenia and African Freesia Petals, middle notes of Jasmine, Damask Rose and Coriander and base notes of Vetiver, Patchouli and Vanilla.
How To Use It
The best practice for wearing eau de toilette is to apply it to dry skin. You'll want to focus it on heated areas on your body, including your chest, neck, lower jaw, wrist, forearm, inner elbow and shoulders. Your body heat helps diffuse the scent and make the scent last longer.
Alternative
gucci rush alternative Or in the same fragrance family as Rush, the fruity-chypre, try the softer Emporio Armani City Glam (in the pink bottle).
Verdict
Gucci Rush is a very strong fragrance, it has notes of freesia for me, very strong patchouli too and powdery settle down of vanilla musk maybe. It is the kind of fragrance which may be loved by some and absolutely hated by the others.
